Scrabble Studs

Any of you that know my brother know that he is one of the funniest people I know. So, David had these very hip glasses that were all style and no comfort. While he was here, he purchased some more comfortable sunglasses. He then took his old glasses, popped out the lenses and reshaped the frames and wah-lah, here is what we have!

He totally cracked me up: we went out to dinner tonight and he wore the glasses through the entire meal, then down to Bonnie Brae for some ice cream, then almost all night at home....until my mom had to give them a try. The funny thing is: nobody really noticed them while we were out!

Hiking near Estes Park

While David was visiting, we were able to go on a hike near Estes Park. It was so beautiful and I think we were all reminded how blessed we are to live so close to the mountains. Of course, in Stapp tradition, we had plenty of food at our half-way point!

Dorie's quick visit

Dorie had a 4 hour lay-over here in Denver, so we were able to spend some always-so-very-wonderful time together! She is also 15 weeks pregnant with #2!

Sumpter-Smithee Family Reunion 2009

Mom, Dad, Truman and I headed down to hot and humid Texas for a family reunion (maternal grandmother's side of the family). I am so mad at myself, as I realized I did a lousy job of taking pictures. We stayed out in the middle of no where (by the TX motor speedway) at a beautiful Marriott hotel. David and I had some really adventuresome runs including one morning talking our way into the Texas Motor Speedway. It was my first time to see such a thing and I had no idea how incredibly huge those places are!! We ate at Babe's which I highly recommend if you are in the North Texas area. Killer comfort food!

Lunch with Friends

While Truman and I were in Dallas, we were able to meet up with my two favorite PT school friends, Kayla and Liz. And boy have our families grown, with 6 children between the 3 of us, a lot has changed since those carpool days from Norman to OKC. I guess you could say, we've come a long way!!

Cathy and John come for a visit!

July 4th weekend, Cathy and John were able to come out to see us! We had a splendid time, as always. I forced them to huddle together for some family photos...I had a couple of nice ones a while back that were later lost. I NEED some pics of this family!!!
